There were 11 members present and one guest, Mike Wright. Roger Kapraun made a motion to accept the March, 2009 minutes as printed in the newsletter, seconded by Jim Underwood. Motion carried. Howard Morstatter gave the treasurer’s report. Motion was made by John Chorak to accept the treasurer’s report as given, seconded by Brian Burcar. Motion carried. Randy Bond presented the bylaws to the club. They will be voted on at the April meeting. A motion was made by Randy Bond to have Dale Chiavene to have new no smoking beyond this point signs made, seconded by John Chorak. Motion carried. The club will have a spring banquet on April 19 th , 2009 at Chipper Bar & Grill in Streator, IL., cocktails at 5p.m. Dinner at 6p.m. The club is asking that everyone that belongs to the club to give Howard Morstatter their address and phone number and AMA number. The newsletter editor needs your E- Mail address for the members who have E- Mail so he can send your newsletter to you. We will have the portapotty back at the field on May 1 st . With no further business to discuss, motion was made by John Chorak to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned. PRESIDENT’S CORNER By Burdette Ahlstrom I will ask people not to drive on the grass until the ground is dry enough to do so. We don’t need any ruts to have to mow over this spring. We will new signs made for no smoking beyond the spectators fence. If anyone is caught drinking alcoholic beverages at the field they will be asked to leave, not our rules, but AMA rules. We have to abide by their rules also. I know we have changed a few of our rules and they are on the web page. I would like to ask everyone that has internet access to look at them. I will try to send out the bylaws to the members that are on our mailing list. I hope everyone has a great flying season and a safe one. Remember, safety always comes first. These are not toys we are flying. They can cause death and server injury and a lot of damage. THANK YOU! Hope to see you all at the meeting.
