There were 11 members present. Jim Underwood made a motion to accept the October, 2008 minutes as printed in the newsletter, seconded by Roger Kapraun. Motion carried. Howard Morstatter gave the treasurer’s report. Motion was made by Rick Topolski to accept the treasurer’s report as given, seconded by Brian Burcar. Motion carried. The club voted by acclamation that the new officers for 2009 as followed. President, Burdette Ahlstrom, Vice President, Jim Underwood, Treasurer, Howard Morstatter, Secretary, Rachel Bond, Field Marshall, Randy Bond, Assistant, John Chorak, Dale Chiavene, and Jim Underwood, Newsletter Editor, Burdette Ahlstrom, Web Page, John Chorak. The club will have a spring banquet in April. We will talk about the time on this at our February meeting. The club is asking that everyone that belongs to the club to give Howard Morstatter their address and phone number and AMA number. The newsletter editor needs your E- Mail address for the ones who have E-Mail so he can send your newsletter to you. We will be building a new impound area shelter in 2009. We are going to let members know when this project will be done so we can get volunteers to help. With no further business to discuss, motion was made by Jim Underwood to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned. PRESIDENT’S CORNER By Burdette Ahlstrom I would like everyone to pay their dues as soon as possible. I need to send all the information to AMA by March. I need your AMA numbers and your address so I can update everyone who is an AMA member. Well I sure hope this winter is about over, I’m tired of snow and ice. I think we have had snow on the ground all winter. Some of our members have been flying electric aircraft at the Lostant gym and been having a great time. They only allow small aircraft. I don’t know for sure about the size they allow. You could call Brian Burcar, he would know the size and the dates they fly. Don’t forget if you have anything you want in the newsletter please contact me. Don’t forget, we have a web page at streatorrcflyers.com.
