There were 11 members present. Ray Seng made a motion to accept the April, 2009 minutes as printed in the newsletter, seconded by Roger Kapraun Motion carried. Howard Morstatter gave the treasurer’s report. Motion was made by Dale Chiavene to accept the treasurer’s report as given, seconded by Dave Goerne. Motion carried. Randy Bond made a motion to accept changing the meetings for June, July and August meetings to the third Sunday of the month at 2:00 p.m., seconded by Jim Underwood. Motion carried. Motion was made by Dale Chiavene to drop the initiation fee, seconded by Jim Underwood. Motion carried. The club discussed having T-shirts made for the club. We will look into this and see what it would cost members. Jim Underwood and Randy Bond donated $30.00 for the cost of AMA insurance for the use of the Lostant grade school for winter indoor flying. This will be co-sponsored by the Streator R/C Flyers and Deer Park R/C Flyers. Motion to accept was made by Dale Chiavene, seconded by Ray Seng. Motion carried. It was brought up that the door on the large shed needs rebuilding. We will try to set a date for this to be done. Don’t forget the Fun-Fly will be June 28 th . The Fly-In breakfast will be August 23 rd with rain date set for August 30 th . With no further business to discuss, motion was made by Jim Underwood to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned. PRESIDENT’S CORNER By Burdette Ahlstrom I know our Fun-Fly is coming up soon and the club will need help that day. I’m laid up right now due to surgery on my ankle. I had to have my left ankle fused due to arthritis, so I will be little help to no the day of the Fun-Fly. I will get the food and drinks and anything else we need for that day. I will however need help getting everything to the field that day. My wife has to be at a meeting in Princeton, IL. that day, so she won’t be able to help me. If anyone can help please call me and let me know. I’m asking if anyone can freeze some jugs of ice for that day please do. I have several jugs of ice in my freezer but I don’t think it will be enough. Well I hope to be at the meeting Sunday but I won’t know until I see the doctor Thursday. NEXT MEETING The next meeting of the Streator R/C Flyers will be. Sunday June 21 st at 2:00 p.m. at the flying field.
