There were 10 members present. Jim Underwood made a motion to accept October, 2007 minutes as printed in the newsletter, seconded by Roger Kapraun, motion carried. Howard Morstatter gave the treasurer’s report. Motion was made by John Chorak to accept the treasurer’s report as given, seconded by Randy Bond. Motion carried. Randy Bond and Jim Underwood gave the field report. They reported that the everything has been put up for the winter and all the garbage has been taken care of. Acclamation was made by Randy Bond to accept the officers for 2008 as printed in the October newsletter, Seconded by Jim Underwood. Motion Carried. The club talked about having a spring banquet in April. We will discuss more on this at our March meeting. With no further business to discuss, Roger Kapraun made a motion to adjourn. Meeting adjourned. PRESIDENT’S CORNER By Burdette Ahlstrom I’m sorry about not having a meeting in February. I was not able to get out of the house, due to the surgery I went through. I was on home health care for 6 weeks. I went to Chicago to the doctor on March 12 th and he said I was doing good. It has been a long winter and I know it has been a long winter to everyone else. I sure will be glad to see spring get here. I know there are a lot of members that can’t wait to get out and fly. I just ask one favor from everyone in the club, if you go out to fly please make sure you don’t drive on the grass until the ground has a chance to get settled after the frost is gone. I don’t think we need a lot of ruts in our parking lot. I would like to thank everyone that helped putting everything up for the winter. I know this is a short newsletter but I ran out of time to get it out. HA,HA. Well I hope to see you all at the March Meeting. DON’T FORGET YOUR DUES ARE DUE FOR THE YEAR 2008.
