There were 9 members present and one guest. Donna Ahlstrom. Dale Chiavene made a motion to accept November, 2007 minutes as printed in the newsletter, seconded by Jim Underwood motion carried. Howard Morstatter gave the treasurer’s report. Motion was made by Jim Underwood to accept the treasurer’s report as given, seconded by Randy Bond. Motion carried. Our first event of 2008 will be the spring banquet on April 27 th at Chippers Grill in Streator at 5:00 p.m. The next event will be the Fun-Fly on June 22 nd . The porta-potty will be at the field on May 1 st . Dale Chiavene made a suggestion that we change the locks on the gate and frequency board. Dale said he would check on this for the club. With no further business to discuss, motion was made to adjourn. Meeting adjourned. Sunday April 27 th . We had a short meeting after our banquet. Randy Bond showed some pictures of some new flying stations that he made and they look great. Dale Chiavene made a motion for Randy to make them for the club, seconded by Jim Underwood. Motion carried. They were all donated by club members. PRESIDENT’S CORNER By Burdette Ahlstrom Just to let everyone know, the locks on the gate and frequency board were changed. We will get the new keys to the ones who have paid their dues. Reminder, if you haven’t paid your dues please do so. I would like to thank Randy Bond for making our new flight stations for the club. They look great. I know Jim Underwood helped him and others at the field helped install them. So thanks to everyone. I know we will need plenty of help at our Fun-Fly on June 22 nd . I hope if you don’t have anything to do that day please come and help. I will be there but I don’t know how much I will be able to do. I’m still on crutches and not able to walk on my own yet but maybe I will by the time the Fun-Fly gets here. Well I hope to see you all at the meeting. ONE OF THE NEW FLYING STATIONS NEXT MEETING The next meeting of the Streator R/C Flyers will be. Wednesday May 21 st at 7:00 p.m. At the Bruce Township hall. Our next three meetings will be at the field. Weather Permitting.
