There were 9 members present. Randy Bond made a motion to accept September, 2007 minutes as printed in the newsletter, seconded by Roger Kapraun, motion carried. Dale Chiavene gave the treasurer’s report. Motion was made by Jim Underwood to accept the treasurer’s report as given, seconded by John Chorak. Motion carried. Burdette Ahlstrom gave the field report. He reported that the field was still in good shape. The members that are running for officers for 2008. President, Burdette Ahlstrom, Vice President, Rich Carver, Treasure, Howard Morstatter, Secretary, Rachel Bond, Field Marshall, John Chorak, Assistants, Randy Bond, Jim Underwood, Dale Chiavene, Newsletter Editor, Burdette Ahlstrom, Internet Provider, John Chorak. We will vote on this at the November meeting. The club decided to change the Fly-In Breakfast to one week later in August. Our Fun-Fly will be June 24 th 2008, Our Fly-In Breakfast will be August 19 th 2008, The club picnic will be September 9 th 2008. There will be no meetings in December 2007 or January 2008. We will try to have our spring banquet in April 2008. We will discuss more on this at our February 2008 meeting. With no further business to discuss, Rachel Bond made a motion to adjourn. Meeting adjourned. PRESIDENT’S CORNER By Burdette Ahlstrom I would like to thank Randy Bond and Jim Underwood for putting the picnic tables and the garbage barrels up for the winter. We left a garbage barrel out for the winter flyers. This Saturday October 17 th I know my son Dean Ahlstrom and Robert Young are out flying right now and having a great time. Sorry about getting the news letter out late but we have had a hectic week. I hope to see you all at the meeting. FOR SALE Ken Baker has his airplanes and equipment for sale. If anyone is interested you may call him at 1-309-432-3248. NEXT MEETING The next meeting of the Streator R/C Flyers will be. Wednesday November 21 st at 7:00 p.m. at the Bruce Township Hall. Don’t forget we will be voting on officers for next year.
