SEPTEMBER, 2007 MEETING MINUTES
By Burdette Ahlstrom
The September meeting of the
Streator R/C Flyers was called to order at
3:40 p.m. by President Burdette Ahlstrom at
the Streator flying field.. There were 12
members present. Most of the wives were
present at the meeting and the picnic. I
couldn’t remember all their names. Randy
Bond made a motion to accept August, 2007
minutes as printed in the newsletter,
seconded by Dale Chiavene, motion carried.
Howard Morstatter gave the treasurer’s
report. Motion was made by Roger Kapraun
to accept the treasurer’s report as given,
seconded by Jim Underwood. Motion
carried. Dave Goerne gave the field report.
He reported that the field was in great shape.
Dale Chiavene suggested that next spring we
get in contact with some of the former
members of the club and ask them if they
would like to fly again. We will discuss
more on this at one of our meetings before
spring. We had a new member join our club
after the meeting. Scott Hoge. Welcome to
the club Scott! We hope you enjoy our field
and the members. We are now up to 37
members in the club. With no further
business to discuss, Mike Read made a
motion to adjourn. Meeting adjourned.
PRESIDENT’S CORNER
By Burdette Ahlstrom
I would like to thank all the people
that came to our club picnic. I think
everyone enjoyed themselves. I know we
had a lot of good food. I just wish more
people would come to our picnic, they don’t
know what they miss. Not just the good food
but the fellowship also. The flying was
great, everyone did a great job of flying.
NOTICE
Once again I must ask everyone when
they are at the field please use the frequency
board and the impound area for your radios.
Please don’t leave your radios on the ground
by your aircraft. Nobody can tell if a radio is
turned on or off. The frequency numbers
must be displayed on your radios and the 72
mgh flag on your antenna if possible.
Remember this is for your own safety. It
may keep you from losing an airplane.
Don’t forget, we will be nominating
officers at the next 2 meetings. We will
need a secretary. I don’t know what else we
will need. Please try to be there. The voting
will be at December meeting. Hope to see
you all at the meeting.
NEXT MEETING
The next meeting of the Streator R/C Flyers
will be.
Wednesday October 17
