There were 12 members present. Jim Underwood made a motion to accept the August, 2008 minutes as printed in the newsletter, seconded by Ray Seng Motion carried. Howard Morstatter gave the treasurer’s report. Motion was made by Dale Chiavene to accept the treasurer’s report as given, seconded by Brian Burcar. Motion carried. Jim Underwood made a motion to have a War Bird Fun-Fly on October 4 th 2009 with the rain date set for October 11 th 2009, seconded by Randy Bond. Motion carried. Randy Bond made a motion to have a finance report for the fiscal year made at the November meeting of each year, seconded by Dale Chiavene. We will have a amendment made in the by-laws for this. Motion Carried. Our Fun-Fly for 2009 will be, June 28 th . Our Fly-In breakfast will be August 24 th 2009. With no further business to discuss, motion was made by Tom Vagasky to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned. PRESIDENT’S CORNER By Burdette Ahlstrom I would like to thank everyone for their help this summer taking care of the field. I think you all did a great job. Not just the field but everything that was done. Just a reminder we will be having nominations of officers for the year 2009 at this meeting. We will vote for the officers at our November meeting. We will not have a meeting in December 2008 or January 2009. Our first meeting for 2009 will be February 18 th 2009. It has been great weather. It could stay like this year round but we know what is coming sooner or later. I don’t mind the cold but I don’t like the snow maybe a little at Christmas but that is all. I hope that next year will be better for me. In about 13 weeks I was in the hospital 7 times and had 5 major surgeries. I think that is enough.
