There were 12 members present. Dale Chiavene made a motion to accept July, 2007 minutes as printed in the newsletter, seconded by Roger Kapraun, motion carried. Howard Morstatter gave the treasurer’s report and the report on the Fly-In breakfast. Motion was made by Dale Chiavene to accept the treasurer’s report as given, seconded by Ray Seng. Motion carried. Dave Goerne gave the field report. He reported that the field was in great shape. Dale Chiavene reported that we had 24 pilots at our Fun-Fly and 46 aircraft and about 45 flights. Our Fly-In breakfast we had 25 pilots and 37 aircraft and about 44 flights. The club talked about changing our Fly-In breakfast to 1 week later next year. Roger Kapraun made a motion to change our Fly-In breakfast to August 17 th 2008, seconded by Dave Goerne. Motion carried. The club discussed about getting the Ford tractor repaired for next year. It would come in handy if our other mower would have a problem. We will discuss more on this before next spring. With no further business to discuss, Dale Chiavene made a motion to adjourn. Meeting adjourned. PRESIDENT’S CORNER By Burdette Ahlstrom We will be having a club picnic on September 9 th 2007 at the field. Please bring a covered dish. Bring your meat and we will have the charcoal grill going to cook on. We will have a short meeting that day before our meal. They are having a civil defense training at the Bruce township building on September 19 th . Henry Araujo called me and asked if it would be ok. I told him we could have our meeting on the day of our picnic. I hope everyone doesn’t mind. If you have any questions please contact me. I’m looking forward to our picnic. Don’t forget we will be having nominations of officers for 2008 at our October meeting. We will be needing a secretary and if anyone else wants to be an officer please let me know. This will be a short newsletter I need to get it out before our picnic. Hope to se you all at the picnic. NEXT MEETING The next meeting of the Streator R/C Flyers will be. Sunday September 9 th at 3:30 p.m. just before our picnic at the Streator field.
